The Snap of a Shot

Most people don’t get to see the beauty of someone growing, at least not from a first-person perspective. Occasionally, I get to be behind the scenes of a small business coming to life, and I never realized how fun and inspiring it would be to watch my friend Londyn during her photoshoots and editing sessions.

Some of the things I do to help Londyn with her photography business include working with a small group of students during class on different projects and timelines for her posts. I find it so fun because we get to see what she’s doing behind the scenes, whether she’s editing photos or creating new Instagram content. It’s been enjoyable watching everything come together and seeing her business grow. Our group has worked on a few different things to support her, like helping design her website, creating a podcast, and even developing personas representing her best customers.

From early on in her business, Londyn and I have been friends, so I’ve truly been able to watch her grow. She just reached 1K followers on Instagram, and it’s been amazing to see all the attention her work is getting. She’s done senior photos, weddings, athletic shoots, you name it. Watching people constantly engage with her content makes me so proud of her.

Overall, this whole experience has taught me what it’s like to work as part of a team and invest in something that isn’t just my own. It’s shown me how to really see my friend, to understand what she’s going through, cheer her on from the sidelines, and feel proud not just of my contributions, but of what she’s accomplishing every day.

And I think that’s the beauty of it all, getting to see her so fulfilled, doing what she loves, and growing her small business even further. Seeing her passion come to life makes me so excited to see where she’ll go next.
